Why Visiting Ireland In The Fall

Most Americans don’t need to be talked into visiting Ireland. Last year, more than 1 million citizens decided to spend their holidays in this amazingly green country, according to official figures.

One of the reasons is that Dublin has earned the title of the European Smart Tourism Capital 2024, granted by The European Commission.

Here are some of the most exciting things you can do during the fall, according to the National Geographic:

Engage in walking festivals: local guides will take you across hidden stunning landscapes while telling you lots of interesting stories.

Take part in the Mountshannon Traditional Festival: Enjoy traditional Irish music in concerts and local pubs from the end of September to mid-October.

Enjoy the Culture Night: During September, there is a Friday in which you can engage in a whole night of events including gallery openings, concerts, performances, workshops, tours, and dancing.

Visit the Belfast International Arts Festival: During two weeks in October, you’ll be able to enjoy different productions and art performances. This festival has featured celebrities such as Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison and Taylor Mac.

In addition, the Ireland Official Tourism Board has launched the ”Fill your heart with Ireland” campaign featuring interesting cultural activities.
