This Popular International Airline Is Soon Launching Free WiFi On All Flights

Soon, Singapore Airlines passengers will be able to use the Internet without paying an additional fee.

The airline intends to provide passengers with free in-flight WiFi on all of its flights as of July 1.

Singapore’s move comes at a time when international airlines are trying to expand their free Wi-Fi offerings.

Once up and running, free Wi-Fi on Singapore Airlines will join a select group of airlines offering it in all cabin classes. JetBlue has long offered free Wi-Fi to all customers in the United States. This year, Delta joined the wave and began providing free Wi-Fi to all travelers on domestic flights.

There may be more to come. In April 2022, Hawaiian Airlines announced plans for free Starlink Wi-Fi on transpacific flights. Delta also announced in March that by the end of 2024, it would offer free Wi-Fi on all its international flights.

Passengers must provide their KrisFlyer account information when purchasing their flights or at check-in to use in-flight Wi-Fi in Singapore Airlines.

To access free Wi-Fi, travelers without a KrisFlyer account can register for a free membership online or through Singapore’s digital content portal while flying.

High-speed in-flight Wi-Fi is crucial to the travel experience, according to Yeoh Phee Teik, Singapore’s senior vice president of customer experience.

He said in a statement, “giving [customers] access to free unlimited Wi-Fi is yet another milestone in SIA’s continuous effort to offer an exceptional end-to-end travel experience.”
