While each Christmas market is special in its own way, Colmar’s is one of the Christmas markets that has been mostly suggested by content creators in TikTok.

A TikTok user named Her Jolie Journey has placed the Christmas market of Colmar in the first place. Several others have made a similar listing too.

This year, the Christmas market in Colmar will officially open on November 24, and visitors will be able to have an unforgettable experience until December 29.

Colmar has the ambience of the Old Town, and when decorated, you will feel like being in a fairy tale. The town centre of Colmar consists of various architectural treasures which blend wonderfully with the lighting that is specially designed to bring out the heritage of the town.

The second Christmas market in Europe that has been highly suggested by TikTokers to be visited during the winter holidays is Prague’s market.

This year, the Christmas market of the Czech Republic’s capital will be open from November 26 until January 26. The Christmas market of Prague is the biggest project of its kind in the country, where visitors get to enjoy mulled wine, traditional Czech Christmas biscuits, gingerbread biscuits, chestnuts, and different varieties of skewered foods.

The main Christmas markets in Prague are held at the heart of the city – in Old Town Square as well as in Wenceslas Square. Smaller markets are also held at other locations too.

Apart from the food, in the Christmas market of Prague, visitors can buy local handicrafts, jewellery, wooden toys, as well as puppets dressed in traditional clothing.

“The streets are bursting with décor, from the teddy bear half-timbered hotels, the lit-up Notre Dame Cathedral with angels that line the streets, and of course vin chaud – mulled wine,” Hellen in Between stated.

Stalls in this market are open every day for a whole month – from November 24 to December 24 – and during this period, visitors will be able to see the city under the lights as well as try different foods that the market has to offer.

The oldest Christmas market in Europe took place in Strasbourg in 1570, and since then, the city has continued its tradition, remaining one of the top destinations to be visited during the Christmas period.

The Christmas market of Tallinn will be open from November 25, 2022, until January 8, 2023. This market was awarded as the most beautiful Christmas market in Europe three years ago and now is one of the most visited markets in Europe.

The Christmas market of Tallinn takes place in a historical location surrounded by old buildings and has a long tradition.

It has been estimated that each year, around half a million visitors reach Tallinn during the winter holidays. This year, all those who choose to visit Tallinn while the Christmas market is still open will be able to see the heart-shaped decoration that has been chosen to decorate the market this year.

Moreover, similar to the other Christmas markets, visitors will be able to try different foods, purchase handicrafts, and have an unforgettable time.
